PURE Youth Irving
Irving, TX
PURE Youth is a leadership program that has the goal of presenting the impact that education has in our communities by spreading awareness through multiple projects and events. PURE Youth has a wide branch of volunteers with many interests and this program allows them to do projects they want to do to help impact our society.
The Irving, Texas Chapter was created in May, 2020 with 5 people and our chapter continues to grow as we continue to make an impact in society by helping communities all around the world.
Our first project that we took up was to provide food and masks to healthcare workers. As we had started in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis we realized that healthcare workers were a huge part of the community due to the fact that they were caring for many people who had fallen victim to this virus. From there we continued hosting new events and fundraisers such as science camps, plant sales, tutoring, and bake sales.
Our team worked on many projects during the years ranging from supporting the school with clean water, grills, repairing the schools and establishing the femme plant, support the establishment of the RO plants, providing STEM access to rural children, providing classroom necessities like books and stationary, helping with self sustainment for women in uganda. Along with these international projects, we are active in our local community to help a local school with clothes for kids, local shelters with food and clothes and basic amenities needed, helping our community school kids with the school supplies. We are glad to make a great impact to both the local and international community and strive in providing the kids with a proper education. Our team members also helped with creating the content for the kids who do not have access to schools to self learn and also teach local kids the knowledge we know through STEM and Coding camps.
Our team has now grown to 10 youth ambassadors and we have done many projects that have impacted our local and international communities. We want to continue to help those around by providing them knowledge and opportunities for education and make an impact on people around us.
