PURE Green.
Cultivating a sustainable future through education and community action.
PURE Green connects environmental education with practical action. Students and communities learn by growing food, conserving water, planting native trees and caring for shared spaces.
The program is global. PURE welcomes volunteers, schools and partners who can adapt these activities to local needs and bring them to new communities.

How this work connects to the SDGs
Environmental learning (4), water conservation (6), responsible resource use (12), climate awareness (13), native planting (15) and local partnerships (17) connect PURE Green’s activities to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Learning through environmental action
School and community projects make sustainability tangible. Learners plant, observe, test ideas and take responsibility for caring for their environment.
In one PURE Green pilot, two acres of unused land at a government boys’ high school in Warangal, Telangana, became a Miyawaki forest with native grasses, shrubs and fruit trees. The project also supported a water source, motor and compound wall.
School & community gardens
Grow food, learn composting and explore soil health, pollinators and nutrition through practical school and community projects.
Water conservation
Explore rainwater harvesting, responsible water use and practical demonstrations that help learners understand local water challenges.
Native forests & biodiversity
Plant and care for native vegetation, observe biodiversity and learn how school green spaces support a healthier local environment.
Community stewardship
Bring students, volunteers and local partners together to maintain projects, share learning and build everyday habits of environmental care.
