This notice explains how People for Urban and Rural Education (PURE Global), a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 81-2726747, handles personal information through this website, enquiries, applications, donations and related activities. PURE Trust in India is a separate organization. This notice concerns PURE Global; other organizations and third-party services may provide their own notices.
Information we collect and why
When you contact us or complete a form, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email, phone, location, school or organization, age or date of birth, interests, referral source, communication preferences and message. We use this information to respond, assess enquiries and applications, coordinate programs, events and volunteering, support donors and partners, maintain records and meet legal and safeguarding obligations. Please do not send payment-card numbers, government identification, medical records or other highly sensitive information through general forms.
Website technology and cookies
Wix hosts this website and supports features such as forms and chat. Website tools may collect device and browser details, IP address, approximate location, pages visited and interactions for functionality, security and measurement. Analytics, marketing integrations and embedded content can involve additional providers, including Google and Meta, when those features are enabled. Donations
Online donations are processed through Classy / GoFundMe Pro and its payment partners. PURE may receive donor contact details, gift amount, campaign designation and preferences for acknowledgement, recordkeeping and donor support. PURE does not receive or store full payment-card details through that donation flow. Review the donation provider's privacy notice and payment terms when giving.
Sharing and international processing
PURE does not sell personal information. We share information when needed with authorized team members and volunteers; providers supporting hosting, communications, analytics, donations and administration; relevant program or institutional partners; and advisers or authorities for legal, safeguarding or security purposes. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where PURE, its partners or providers operate. Applicable privacy protections may differ by location.
Children and youth
Children under 13 should not submit their personal information independently. A parent or guardian should make an enquiry using their own contact details and avoid unnecessary details about the child. An interest submission does not enroll a young person or authorize participation. Parent or guardian permission is required at registration before participants under 18 join activities. Separate permissions may be needed for photographs, travel or particular activities. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been submitted without appropriate authorization so we can review and address it.
Security, retention and your choices
We take reasonable steps to protect information and retain it for the purpose collected and for applicable legal, financial, safeguarding and organizational needs. No online system is completely secure. You may unsubscribe from non-essential updates using the message instructions or contact us. You may also request access, correction or deletion of your information. Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law; we may need to verify your identity before responding and retain records where required.
