Creating Measurable Change Across Education, Inclusion, Livelihoods, and Community Development
PURE India, People for Urban and Rural Education Trust, India, creates measurable impact across education, school transformation, skill development, inclusion, health, hygiene, livelihoods, and community development.
Since 2016, PURE has worked to address critical social challenges by empowering students, women, youth, differently-abled individuals, schools, and underserved communities across India. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, PURE focuses on practical, community-centered programs that create long-term change.
At PURE, impact is not only measured in numbers. It is measured in the lives transformed, the schools strengthened, the girls supported, the students empowered, and the communities that move forward with dignity and opportunity.

Education and School Transformation
Education is at the heart of PURE’s mission.
PURE has supported and transformed 600+ schools through upgraded infrastructure, digital classrooms, STEM-focused labs, learning resources, and student-centered support. These efforts help create safer, stronger, and more engaging learning environments for children from underserved communities.
PURE also supports students through scholarships, school supplies, laptops, phones, and digital learning tools. Scholarships for 200+ students have helped open doors to higher education, sports opportunities, academic growth, and personal development.
By strengthening schools and supporting students directly, PURE helps bridge gaps in access, opportunity, and confidence.
Inclusion and Special Needs Support
PURE is committed to inclusion, dignity, and independence for differently-abled individuals.
Through special needs support initiatives, PURE has distributed 500+ prosthetic limbs and calipers, 100+ motorized wheelchairs, and several three-wheel mobility devices. PURE has also supported individuals with hearing aids, vision aids, laptops, phones, and other assistive resources that help reduce barriers and improve quality of life.
These initiatives are designed to help differently-abled individuals move with greater independence, participate more fully in society, and live with dignity.
Skill Development and Livelihoods
Skill development is an important part of PURE’s work to support sustainable livelihoods.
Through four skill centers, PURE has helped empower 3,000+ women in urban slum communities. These programs provide practical skills, confidence, and pathways for women to improve their earning potential and support their families.
PURE has also conducted financial literacy workshops for 600+ individuals, helping participants build awareness around savings, planning, money management, and financial decision-making.
By supporting skill development and livelihood readiness, PURE helps communities move toward greater self-reliance.
Health, Hygiene, and Community Wellbeing
PURE’s impact also extends to health, hygiene, and community wellbeing.
Through awareness programs, menstrual hygiene workshops, nutrition support, health-related initiatives, and community outreach, PURE works to address barriers that affect learning, dignity, and daily life.
These initiatives are especially important for girls, women, students, and underserved communities where access to health and hygiene education can directly influence school attendance, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.
Youth Leadership and Volunteer Action
At the core of PURE’s impact is its volunteer-led model.
PURE is powered by a growing network of changemakers who bring time, skill, empathy, and leadership to every initiative. Volunteers, mentors, teachers, donors, corporate partners, sponsors, and community leaders work together to support students, schools, families, and communities.
PURE’s Youth Hubs and volunteer programs help young people become leaders through service, teamwork, social responsibility, and community action.
Impact Beyond Numbers
PURE Impact is about more than statistics. It is about stories of resilience, empowerment, opportunity, and hope.
Every school transformed, every student supported, every girl empowered, every woman trained, every volunteer mobilized, and every family strengthened is part of PURE’s larger mission to build a more equitable and sustainable future.
Through education, inclusion, livelihoods, youth leadership, health, hygiene, and community development, PURE continues to create meaningful change across India.
